We have supported the commissioning of the first food waste treatment plant in Hong Kong. The plant has a capacity to treat every day 200 tons of food and kitchen waste that is collected in Hong Kong. Two pretreatment lines are installed with feeding hoppers for the pretreatment plant, impact crushers, piston pumps and reject separation system. It is a continuous operated and completely automated system that doesn´t require any manual waste sorting. A clean organic slurry is produced in the pretreatment that is then used for biogas production in anaerobic digesters.
